We are Hoolan Ensemble - a fast-emerging collective of musicians and composers dedicated to commissioning and performing innovative contemporary music, and to collaborating with other art forms. Passionate about bringing music to wider audiences, we perform in non-traditional concert venues, be it museums such as the Burrell Collection in Glasgow, or in cinemas across the UK. As a young dynamic ensemble, we focus our work on the issues that matter to us most. Using history as raw material, we engage with neglected heritage to inspire an experience that is fresh, compelling, and totally out of the ordinary.
